So I finished my first summer semester which consisted of two classes, four days a week, for one month (the equivalent to one week of class per one day of class). Needless to say, that took a lot out of me, but I passed with A's in both classes. Now I'm enduring the second week of my second summer semester, aka the very last class I need to graduate.
This particular class happens to be anthropology: human evolution (a course I had previously failed a few semesters ago for not giving a shit). Turns out I love this class so much that I'm considering getting a major in either physical anthropology or archeology so lmao I should just become a professional student by now.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are my only days off, but I can't complain because at least this month I actually have a time to catch my breath between school and work. Since no one else if free during this time, I'm going to start going on dates with myself! I'm rather pissed off that museums no longer have free days during summer (and when they do they're totally sporadic). Nevertheless, I bought a 2-year membership to the Field Museum (using my school ID to get $40 off before it expires next month, SHAZAM!)
Oh btw, I'm finally moving out my house July 1st with Tom. I will post pictures as soon as we're settled in!

Dear Rio,
You have rid my eyes and ears of Chicago's Olympic promotions. When I was not harassed by Oprah, Obama, or Daley, it was the news, the commercials, the voiceovers on the bus and trains (even at the airport). I no longer have to endure the terrible notion of having the Olympics here. For this I thank you.
And to Chicago,
This is the most obnoxious commercial. Had I not already a few dozen reasons why we shouldn't have hosted the Olympics, this surely was enough to keep me away from it.
"In the end, the games are for the kids." How the fuck are the kids even relevant? IF NOT FOR ANYTHING ELSE, AT LEAST THINK OF THE KIDS.
